I was born & bred in Perth Western Australia. My parents were both Ukrainians, father was born in Movchanivka (a khutir near Nekhvoroshcha) Poltava and my mum from Shpola, Cherkasy)  I inherited my passion about all things Ukrainian from my parents, her history and her continual struggle to maintain sovereignity, her music and her poets. So the idea to create this website was a culmination of the above reasons, but primarily it commenced as a tool to store all my Ukrainian maps and other memorabilia in one location.  

 

I do not think it is necessary to apologise to the many authors of articles that I have collected and reproduced within. It is not an intention to plageurise their work - rather it is an opportunity to have it listed for ready reference by many Ukrainian readers, researchers and scholars who need a handy reference. It is a starting place to learn about all things Ukrainian whether it be from the Trypilian culture, the Kyivan Rus period or marketing contemporary Ukraine to the world. 

 

Over time I will develop this website to provide useful links about Ukraine and her history (including Kyivan Rus).
